Koggenland

  • Soil investigation on the dike in Oudendijk and Schardam

We are using various methods to investigate the structure, subsoil, and strength of the flood defense dikes in Oudendijk and Schardam.

  • Improvement of the Drechterlandse Dijk/Walingsdijk embankment

On sections of the Walingsdijk and Drechterlandse Dijk, the subsided sub-berm is being repaired, making it easier to maintain.

  • Improvement of the Mijzenpolder embankment

Parts of the embankments around the Mijzenpolder need to be improved.

  • Catching moles on the dike

There are moles in some places in our dikes. For water safety reasons, we have them removed by a professional mole catcher.

  • Quay improvement HULOK

HULOK is an abbreviation for Hensbroek, Ursem, Langereis, Opmeer, Koggenland. The dikes have been rejected on the basis of height and inward stability.

  • Removing vegetation from dike revetment

To protect the water-retaining function of the Markermeer and IJsselmeer dikes, we burn away vegetation on the stone revetments.

  • Reinforcement of Markermeer dikes

We are reinforcing more than 33 kilometre between Hoorn and Durgerdam.
