We are using various methods to investigate the structure, subsoil, and strength of the flood defense dikes in Oudendijk and Schardam.

On sections of the Walingsdijk and Drechterlandsedijk, the subsided sub-base is being repaired, making it easier to maintain.

There are moles in some places in our dikes. For water safety reasons, we have them removed by a professional mole catcher.

To protect the water-retaining function of the Markermeer and IJsselmeer dikes, we burn away vegetation on the stone revetments.

We are reinforcing more than 33 kilometre between Hoorn and Durgerdam.
