What can you do yourself to combat drought?
Consequences
Long periods of drought are becoming increasingly common. This means that less water is available, which has consequences for people, animals, and nature. Agricultural crops cannot be irrigated for long periods of time. The drinking water supply can be jeopardized. Trees and plants dry out because there is no rain for weeks on end. It is therefore important to store water during wet periods so that there is enough water available during droughts.
