Secondary education class 1, 2 and 3

  • Waterwise

Students engage in water management in the roles of homeowner, conservationist and farmer.

  • Guest Lectures

Who better to talk about water than someone who works with it every day? You can choose from two themes: "clean and healthy water" and "climate.

  • Speaking toolkits

These toolkits will help you prepare a talk about water & climate or clean & healthy water.

  • Dilemmabox

Using the Dilemmabox, students solve a "smelly case. Experts from HHNK and TU Delft offer online support.

  • Schoolyard flooding

HAVO and VWO2 students look at how to "water-proof" their own environment. The lesson includes a quiz, experiments and a decorating assignment.

  • High tide in the schoolyard?

This lesson is designed to get high school students thinking about the Netherlands' vulnerability to flooding.

  • Sup it Up and Trashwalk for clean water

After a guest lesson on the work of the Water Board, students will go on an expedition on land or water: Sup it Up or Trashwalk.

  • Water toppers

At the Zuiderzee Museum, students engage in a battle with water: they build dikes, drag sandbags and turn a mortar.

  • Evacuation!

The dike breaks through! The water washes through the streets. To keep dry feet, you have to flee upstairs. What do you take with you and what do you leave behind?

  • Help! The water is rising

Heavy storm and extremely high water levels threaten the Zuiderzee Museum. Take action to limit flooding!
