Several embankments in the Kolhorn polder, south of Kolhorn, have been rejected and need to be improved.

In November, we will be taking aerial photographs of the sea dikes between Den Oever and Den Helder using a drone.

The dike at De Strook no longer meets the required height and must therefore be raised.

Most parts of the Wieringermeer barrier do not require reinforcement. However, the Haukesschutsluis lock no longer meets water safety standards.

To ensure that the Wieringermeer water level area continues to have sufficient water in the future, we are replacing the inlet and increasing the inflow capacity.

HULOK is an abbreviation for Hensbroek, Ursem, Langereis, Opmeer, Koggenland. The dikes have been rejected on the basis of height and inward stability.

To protect the water-retaining function of the Markermeer and IJsselmeer dikes, we burn away vegetation on the stone revetments.
